BEAUTY PAGEANT, a six-piece rock ensemble hailing from Dublin, Ireland, specializes in crafting heartfelt, driving anthems brimming with melody, all aimed at fostering communal joy.
Having made their mark in Dublin’s vibrant DIY indie scene, sharing stages with notable acts like Banrion and Fizzy Orange, Beauty Pageant embarked on recording new material in June 2021. Their creative journey led them to a converted farmhouse in County Meath, where parts of their tracks were captured, alongside sessions in Windmill Lane Studios and band members' own bedrooms. The final mix was expertly handled by Les Keye of Arad Studios.
In November 2022, the band unveiled their debut single, 'Born To Stay,' a bombastic tour de force clocking in at two minutes and 30 seconds. The track is characterized by crashing guitars, relentless drums, fuzzy bass, and sugary synth lines, accompanied by a visually striking video directed by textile artist Áine Byrne. Their follow-up single, 'I'll Try to Start Again,' released to usher in the new year, presents a mix of hope and melancholy, complemented by an epic video directed by photographer/filmmaker Faolan Carey.
Receiving praise from outlets such as Hot Press, The Thin Air, and Golden Plec, with Nialler9 lauding 'Born to Stay' as “a fine slice of melodic indie-rock,” Beauty Pageant's singles garnered positive press coverage. Additionally, their music has been embraced by radio stations including RTE 2FM, Galway Bay FM, Dublin City FM, Phoenix FM, and Amazing Radio UK.
With their reputation as a formidable live act solidifying, Beauty Pageant has graced numerous venues in Dublin and recently expanded their reach to Belfast's Ulster Sports Club. Their upcoming performance in Galway at Club Aras Na Gael marks another milestone in their burgeoning career.
