Slightly Dishevelled is a punk band from Dublin, with members spread across the country. Their sound blends 70s punk, improvisational music, and noise rock, driven by a deep need for expression. Currently, they're gearing up for the release of their upcoming LP, Waxie’s Late Night Bank Account, while their recent project involved scoring the film Molasses by Cork artist Saoirse McGarry. This entirely improvised 20-minute score was recorded in a cottage on Achill Island and is part of an IMMA exhibition through March 2024.
Slightly Dishevelled has made a mark on the Dublin music scene with headline shows at Fred Zeppelin's in Cork, Áras na nGael in Galway, and Black Box in Belfast. They’ve also opened for international punk acts like Booze and Glory, BiLk, and Texas glam punk band Lord Friday the 13th. Their debut single, "Chaos," was described by Nialler9 as an energetic punk anthem with just the right amount of rebellious edge.
